APRIL 12: Easter at The Hermitage (10-12 April) |
|
| For the 22nd year, an inspirational Easter gathering was held at The Hermitage. The celebration got underway with a prayerful enactment of the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. Fr Sean Cullen, the pastor of Mittagong and Bowral parishes, lead over 250 parishioners and guests of the Hermitage through the Way of the Cross. For the remainder of the weekend the guests of The Hermitage were invited to join in a number of workshops and liturgies that took up the story of Christ's passion and resurrection. Included among the workshops was the musical narrative on the life and spirit of St Francis Assisi by Peter Kearney. The gathering concluded with a moving vigil liturgy of the Resurrection with much music, light and colour. |
